Unless you are watching a recorded event most of the sport you will want to see will be a live broadcast and therefore speed of connection will be an issue. We don't have the fastest connection so we use the fastest computer we have available when watching live sports.
Depending on what you're watching and where you're watching it you may need more than one player installed on your PC to get the best available broadcast.
Here is a step by step explanation of how you can watch just about any sport, be it American Football, Football, Baseball, Cricket or Golf, for free on your PC.

Click on the 'Live Sports' tab at the top of the page.
On the main Live Sports page you will see these links below to other sports and the 'Now Playing' list.
If the sports you want to see are not in the Now Playing list then you will not be able to watch them so wait till nearer the start of the game and check back. Games and Matches are usually listed a few hours before they are due to start.
You can also view a sports calendar so you can see what is coming up in the week ahead.
When the sports event is due to start (give yourself an hours head start incase you don't have the necessary player and need to download it) click on the 'TV' image on the right hand side of your chosen event.
This will open up the main events page where you will see the recommended players to watch it on. If you have one of the players listed then click on 'Play' or - and this has worked better for us - right click on the 'Play' link and select 'Copy Link Location'. Open your player software and then paste the link into the 'Channel' search box.
Lets look at how to do this with 'Sopcast' as it's an easy one to start with.
